With 11 seconds left in the game, the officials missed a goaltending call that would have allowed WVU a chance to tie the game. Obviously no one likes when an official misses a call, but the mistakes the officials made were far outnumbered by the mistakes WVU made: countless missed free-throws and a stellar 12 missed three-point attempts.
Should the officials have called goaltending? Probably. But SORRY, they missed it. Instead of complaining about it, how about you go home and work on not turning the ball over 14 times. ‘Cuse played without Melo and allowed you to outrebound them 41-20… and you still lost.
PS. Coach Huggins looks like a trash ball in the tracksuits. Dressed to impress no one.

Would you hold the same opinion if was your beloved Buckeyes got screwed over by Michigan? Isn’t more important to get the call right? Every year it seems that athletes are getting bigger, stronger and faster facilitating a quicker game. However the number of officials remains constant. Most sports have let the evolution of technology close this gap, apart from college bball and Fifa. This argument almost sounds like something Skipp Bayless would say for effect, considering the main arguments seem to be circumstantial. I think the bigger issue is someone got screwed over a correctable mistake (instant replay). And Huggins is a great coach in arguably the best conference with a lot of ncaa tournament success, so I’d hold the personal appearance smack. Like the blog and having a new voice on here is cool, looking forward to reading more.
Yoav– nice to hear from you, my friend. This article was written by Jess, not me, but my beloved Buckeyes have gotten screwed plenty of times!
I overlooked that, I was just assuming that everyone contributing was an Ohio St affiliate/fan but in that case, (insert favorite team) getting screwed by (your arch rival). Like what you’ve done with the website, Alia.
I am all for officials making the correct calls. I am just pointing out that there were a lot of other aspects of the game that the Mountaineers had full control over. To compete at a high level you have to put your team in a spot where one bad call isn’t the difference between a W or an invite to the NIT.
Jess great points! You should tell Mountaineer fans to tell the football HC to get a haircut! Or hair plugs! Or a toupee. Don’t know if you ever saw that guys hair. Its awful!
